Petitioner and flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has asserted that He demands the same equalities and notion his opponents the NPP wanted in 2012 when they challenged the EC’s outcome on results of the 2012 election.
Responding to critic from people on the question, what he seeks to gain by challenging the result of the 2020 election, Mr Mahama retorts saying,
“I want perhaps the very same thing that my opponent wanted when in 2012 he challenged the result of that election. I want the removal of doubt.”
He added in his statement calling for a free and fair election result.
“I want for all of us to know that our elections should be free, fair and save and that we do not have to settle for a process that will leave us confused and with more questions than answers”.
Mr Mahama indicated that he wants a country (Ghana) where institutions can be held to account
where we can stand on principle and demand transparency without the risk of losing our lives”.
He said, when individuals lose their lives during elections, it retires the progress of the economy.
