Majority Leader Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has suggested to Parliament to come out with a mechanism that will allow Honorable Members of Parliament to debate the content of the last State of the Nation Address ( SONA ) for his first term in office.
Hon Kyei-Mensah who also serve as Minister for Parliamentary Affairs made the comments after the President had delivered his last State Of The Nation Address to the 7th Parliament on Tuesday 5,January,2021.
According to him,his suggestion is due to the fact that members of the outgoing 7th Parliament will not get the opportunity to debate the last State of the Nation Address to Parliament by the President . However, he lamented that Ghana’s 8th Parliament will not be a “Hung” Parliament emphasizing that there will certainly be a Majority and Minority in the 8th Parliament .
