The actor turned politician, John Dumelo says if he’s elected to office as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, he will donate 50% of his 2 years salary to aid youth development in the constituency.
He made this promise during Ayawaso West Wuogon’s constituency of the NDC’s campaign launch on Sunday, October 19, 2020. He pledged to set up a football team in Aywaso West Wuogon constituency if he’s voted into parliament on the ticket of NDC cum December 7.
“When I enter Parliament, I’ll give half of my salary to the youth of Ayawaso West Wuogon. The first thing I’ll do with that 50% is to establish a football team in Ayawaso West Wuogon”, he said.
“We’re tired of playing gala. It’s time to establish the West Wuogon football club so that the footballers here can also get the opportunity to play Premier League and also go abroad”. He emphasized.
Notwithstanding that, John Dumelo has pledged to set up a factory in Ayawaso West Wuogon if elected into power to help create job opportunities for the youth.
I will produce a factory in Ayawaso West Wuogon, he said.
According to him, Constituents of Ayawaso West are yet to see the fulfillment of the ‘One District One Factory ” promise made by the ruling New Patriotic Party in the constituency and as such he will see it to the establishment of a factory in the constituency should constituents give him the nod to represent them in parliament cum December 7.
When I get to parliament, I will talk I won’t only go and say “Yeee Yeee” as the incumbent MP does. He stressed.
The campaign launched, saw many bigwigs of the NDC, and was attended by hundreds of party supporters and sympathizers.
