NPPpolls: Delegate Arrested For Taking Photo Of Ballot in Takoradi

Police in Takoradi have arrested a delegate who took a picture of his ballot after thumb printing at the Azaria polling station in the Effia constituency.

He has been marched to the Central Police Station immediately after the incident for questioning and interrogation.
Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, Joseph Cudjoe, who had come to the station to bail the delegate described the arrest as “unnecessary aggression”.

Joseph Cudjoe
applauded the EC for a smooth execution except incidents of aggressiveness which he believes shouldn’t be characterized in an internal election like this.
He again referred to the instance of few police officers available at centres, responsible for the smooth execution of the exercise rather than arresting a culprit who took a picture of his ballot and didn’t share.

The honourable member of parliament is of a strong belief that, an incident as this was planned.
