COVID-19:GUM Leader predicts Economic Hardship

The Founder of the Ghana Union Movement(GUM), Reverend Christian Kwabena Andrews(Osofo Kyiriabossom), has noted predicted the accidental coronavirus which has forced President Nana Akufo Addo to call for the suspension of public functions and another program would go a long way to bring serious economic hardship to Ghana’s economy.

Osofo Kyiriabossom, who is also the Leader and Founder of the Life Assembly Worship Centre, noted the outbreak would go a long way to prevent people from embarking on their various business activities which would yield income for their living.

Speaking with this paper yesterday, he underscored the need for authorities to seized the opportunity and empower farmers to help avoid any situation that would affect the economy.

Speaking as a Man of God, he indicated that only way we can prevent the disease as people were to adhere to advises from the various health experts.

“I will not be surprised if the cost of food and other goes up within some few hours due to the outbreak” he disclosed.

He also suggested the need for closure of Ghanaian borders with countries that have recorded the cases in the disease.

He also blamed the united states of America for the outbreak but was quick to state that the disease would soon varnish.

Osofo Kyiriabossom, therefore, admonished Ghanaians to remained calm, saying that the outbreak would soon be a thing of the past.

He also called on the government to boost its steps in ensuring that that the outbreak does not affect Ghana’s growth.

Osofo Kyiriabossom, however, expressed over why schools and churches are been asked to be on break due to the outbreak with the exclusion of Night Clubs.
