Fast-rising songstress Wendy Shay expresses her displeasure on a ban against Ghanaian celebrities and want FDA to lift the ban on alcoholic beverages.
TheRufftown record signee wants Ghanaian celebrities to hold hands and fight the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to lift ban forbidding them from advertising for alcoholic beverages.
Taking to Instagram to narrate her ordeal, Wendy Shay said she had just lost a huge sum of money because she couldn’t accept an advertisement deal which was worth thousands of dollars.
She posted: “I just lost a deal worth 1,000s‘ of dollars with this foreign alcohol company… I didn’t know GH Celebrities can’t advertise for alcoholic beverages according to the FDA. Like Seriously?!
She added, “Small food we go chop too u wan take 4rm our mouth. Gh celebs wake up!! FDA Lift that ban!!”
Meanwhile, the ‘Uber Driver’ hitmaker isn’t the only musician against FDA’s celebrity endorsement with regards to alcoholic beverages.
Rapper, Edem, has equally expressed his displeasure and has asked relevant authorities to reverse the decision.
