Zongo minister inspects,” inner city household toilet project”


Yesterday, 6th January 2020, the Hon. Minister of Inner-City and Zongo Development, Hon. Mustapha Abdul-Hamid together with the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Accra, Hon. Mohammed Adjei Sowah inspected a

a number of completed household bio-digester toilet facilities being constructed by the Ministry (Ministry of

Inner City and Zongo Development) in collaboration with GAMA Sanitation and Water project in Chorkor, Lamptey Maami, Amamomo, Chemunaa, Adabraka, Osu Alata, Osu Ashinte, James Town and its environs.

The project dubbed ‘Inner City Household Toilet Project’ is part of the Ministry’s effort towards ending open defecation in Accra and pursuing President Akufo-Addo’s vision of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa. The Ministry has so far provided 252 toilets for free which will serve over 6000 inhabitants.
