The Management of MJ Comet has donated items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to Help Age Ghana, a non-profit organisation that advocates and takes care of the needs of elderly people in the country in Osu, Accra.
The items donated to the Help Age Ghana include household items such as rice, a bag of rice, oil, Soup among others.
The donation took place at the Osu, Accra office of Help Age Ghana.
MJ Comet limited is a Ghacem cement distributor and aims to support the needy in the community and create public awareness on ageing issues as well as the problems facing older persons.
Presenting the items to the management of Help Age Ghana, the Chief Executive Officer, (CEO) of MJ Comet, Nana Pokua Saka in an interview with peace News said the donation was to help bring comfort to the elderly and needy, who are sometimes abandoned by their families.
Receiving the items on behalf of Help Age Ghana, the Administrator and media coordinator in charge of Day Centre at Help Age Ghana-Osu, Madam Ethel Boakye commended MJ Comet limited for the kind gesture and urged other kind-hearted persons and organizations to come to their aid.
She also pleaded with the body in charge of the leap policy and urged them to support the elderly in terms whenever they are in need.
