Step down from your post-Berekuman citizen’s association to MCE

Berekuman citizens association in the berekum district has given the MCE of the area hon Kofi Adjei a seven days ultimatum to step down from his position.

According to the association, they have taken it upon themselves to help in the development projects in the community such as schools, public toilets,

health facilities among others but the MCE of the community has held them back to develop the community.

Speaking to at press conference in Accra, the Public Relations officer of the Association, Mr.Eric Nana Amponsah said, the berekum lorry station has a dilapidated toilet which is a disgrace and post a dangerous health threat to those who trade and live around the area in which they are will to build an ultra-modern toilet facility to replace the current one but the MCE of the area, Hon. Kofi Agyei has refused to grant them their request.

According to him, the assembly asked them to write a formal letter which they did, but the MCE, Hon. Kofi Agyei never showed even the latest courtesy by responding to the latter.

Mr Eric Nana Amponsah stressed that they approached the Omanehene of the area for their request to be granted and they will call for a demonstration if the MCE does not step down from his post.
