OKAIKWEI NORTH MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY AND TESANO POLICE MTTD CLEAR VEHICLES ON PAVEMENT AND ROADS


The Okaikwei North municipal assembly and Motor Traffic and Transport Department

(MTTD) of Ghana  Police Service(Tesano) has deployed towing vehicles on roads to tow

about 39 vehicles to clear the roads and pavement for users at Tesano and fly top in the

Okaikwei municipality.

the high incidence of road accidents occurring in the country.

The exercise started from dependable motors, DeGorgia motors(Tesano) and various Car Garages

at the fly top(Lapaz).

The Tesano MTTD Commander, The Deputy Superintendent of Police(DSP) Francis Aboagye of the

Motor Transport and Traffic Department, Ghana police service, said

it is the duty of the police to protect lives and properties in the country and they want

to make sure the roads are safe and clear to use in the country.

He added that they are going to take the owners to court to serve as  an example to car dealers

and owners who sell on the payment and road because they are not going going to set down

for something bad to happen before they take charge.
