What advice at all does the Secretary to president give to his Excellency President Nana Akuffo
Addo on certain governmental policies and appointment?
There is always more than one way of resolving problems or area of difference in governance policies.
I do not really think President Nana Addo and his ministers think of the next elections and how it
will affect them in terms of some appointment and if they have forgotten let me remind them.
The mistakes that send the previous government to the opposition in 2016 is the same that can send the current
regime to opposition if care is not taken in some appointment.
Former director-general of the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA), Kwame Owusu, has been appointed
as board chairman of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA). Per a letter written by the secretary to the president,
Nana Bediatuo Asante, Owusu has 14 days to respond to the offer.
Owusu resigned from the GMA in February 2019 after a scandal involving the use of millions of cedis to renovate
his private residence.
Information available to www.anfrebeats.com suggests that Kwame Owusu has been appointed as the board
chairman of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Owusu, who resigned in February 2019 after a scandal at the Ghana Maritime Authority (GMA) was offered
the appointment through the secretary to the president, Nana Bediatuo Asante.
The appointment letter read: “Pursuant to section 4 (1) (a) of Ghana Revenue Authority Act, 2009 (Act 791)
the President of the Republic, in consultation with the Council of State, has appointed you as the
Chairman of the Governing Board of the Ghana Revenue Authority.”
