Valley View University has presented a cheque of GH¢10,000 to the National Cardiothoracic
Centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The donation is to support the good work the centre
has been doing over the years and in line with the social corporate responsibility of the university.
Presenting the cheque, the Special Assistance to the vice chancellor of Valley View University Affairs
Mr Joe Aaron Hagan, who was accompanied by some staff of the University, said the donation was
the contribution of the University towards helping the disadvantaged in the hospital.
He added that it was also in line with their 40th anniversary and social corporate responsibility of the university
to reach out to help the cardiothoracic centre at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
He called on the staffs at the hospital to take advantages of the donation to work hard and urged other cooperate
organizations and stakeholders to have the advantage of given and not to depend on government always.
The Director of National Cardiothoracic Center of Korle-Bu, Dr. Lawrence Agyemang Sereboe, who received
the donation expressed gratitude for the donation.
He added that most patients lose their life’s due to the difficulties they find them self in and urged other cooperate
organizations to support the cardiothoracic centre to take care of the patients.
