The executive director of national service scheme (NSS) Hon Mustapha Ussif said
his outfit in conjunction with Masloc, NBSSI, Venture capital and NYA has organised
the maiden training workshop for 20 graduates in entrepreneurship on poultry.
Speaking with Kwadwo Baffour, Hon Mustapha Ussif said again that this year’s training workshop
is a pilot initiative with funding and in skills development through partners such as Masloc, Venture capital
and NBSSI. Moreover, Hon Mustapha stressed on the idea of this training is to support the first cohort
of poultry entrepreneurs, their success would stimulate
can be used to scale the module by attracting more entrepreneurs and investment into the program.
expect this graduate after the training to become job creators to their farms and employs people who
work within the poultry value chain. The executive director of NBSSI Mrs Kossi Yankey also advised the
youth to be focused, research and also asked for guidelines after the training in jobs.
She again added that NBSSI will continue to build their capacity development and mentor them for their
progress in the agricultural sector especially poultry.
Some of the graduates who benefit from the training workshop also expressed their gratitude for this
entrepreneurship initiative by the government in the supporting of youth in poultry.
