Ghanaian top comic actor, Comedian Waries says, being comic in shows and events
at times is not all about the comedian but also depends on the mood of the audience.
Speaking on Vybe-on with Berla Brown,
the young energetic and influential comic actor responded to a question pose to her by Berla
asking what he will eventually do on stage if his audience are not being responsive (Laughing) to his performance.
He said, though he hasn’t experienced such a situation on stage, he believes Comedy does not depend on the
comedian alone in terms of laughter. Waris added that, despite it’s the duty of a comedian to make people laugh,
majority also depends on the mood of the audience.
He said if the person is emotionally stable, he/she will respond to all comic words and acts of the comedian but will be very difficult for one who is emotionally unstable to match with the comedian.
Waris therefore urge all comic comedians to observe and identify the mood of their audience of which will enable them cheer their audience.
